Don Michael<div>Andean Black Corn Whisky</div>

Don Michael
Andean Black Corn Whisky

View Details

The “World’s Best Whiskey” according to the 2022 New York World Spirits Competition, as featured in the prestigious Forbes Magazine.

Don Michael is the world’s only distillery producing whiskey from Andean Black Corn. This black corn variety is an ancient, high-altitude maize grown at the foothills of the Andes. Glacial water is used in the distilling process before the whiskey is left to age in American white oak barrels.

This unique whiskey is based on a mash bill familiar to wheated bourbons where wheat substitutes the rye. A lingering smokiness awaits.

Made with 60% corn, 30% malted wheat, and 10% malted barley. This is Black Whiskey ... Enjoy!

Producer:  Don Michael
Region: Peru
Alcohol: 45.0%

Mackmyra Svensk Rök

Mackmyra Svensk Rök
‘Swedish Smoke’ Whisky

View Details

Created entirely from Swedish ingredients, Mackmyra is one of the few distilleries in the world that self-produces its smoky distillate. This amazing whisky is Mackmyra's smoky, peaty expression, hence the name Svensk Rök, which means Swedish Smoke.

Both malting and smoking take place in a facility situated close to the distillery using Swedish-grown barley and peat drawn from the nearby Karinmossen (Karin bog). To add a further Swedish dimension to the smoky flavour, the glowing peat is seasoned with brittle juniper twigs.

A naturally golden colour, the palate introduces more smoke than the nose offers, with a passive note of salt borne from its peaty origins.

Producer: Mackmyra Swedish Whisky
Region: Gävle, Sweden
Alcohol: 46.1%

Coastal Stone Australian Single Malt Whisky (Bourbon Cask)

Manly Spirits Coastal Stone Australian Single Malt is a truly delightful whisky. It is an expression of the maritime elements and raw nature of the Australian coast, using premium ingredients and true artisan skill.

Enjoy the mellowed sweetness, derived from being matured in ex-Kentucky Bourbon casks. The nose opens with gentle vanilla, leading into green fruits with toasted caramel. The sweetness on the palate provides notes of warm honey with baked pear, apple, and hints of spiced oak.

This whisky is a first release from 2021 and is completely grain to glass from their Northern Beaches distillery.

Penderyn Rich Oak
Single Malt Welsh Whisky

Double Gold Medal winner at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2022.

The Penderyn Distillery claims the title as 'The Home of Welsh Whisky' being one of Wales’ first whisky distillery in over 100 years, positioned at the foothills of Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog) National Park.

This single malt is initially aged in bourbon casks, but then allowed a finishing period in rejuvenated European ex-wine (oak) casks, contributing an overt fruitiness to the vanilla-heavy profile. Mango, apple, vanilla and honey all come together, from the nose to palate, to create an exceptional finish.

Prieto y Prieta Maíz de Oaxaca&nbsp;<div>Mexican Corn Whisky</div>

Prieto y Prieta Maíz de Oaxaca
Mexican Corn Whisky

View Details

Prieto & Prieta is made with four types of corn native to Oaxaca: red, purple, yellow and white corn, each providing its own distinctive aromas that are reminiscent of plantain, apple and huitlacoche (an ancient Mexican delicacy). Maturation is carried out in two different types of barrels: firstly, in French oak and then in American oak.

This whisky was created under the guidance of Txomin Alcorta, a French master distiller with experience in cognac and ageing barrels. Prieto y Prieta is a genuine sipping whisky. Its deliberately restrained barrel input ensures the unique taste of Oaxaca embraces the palate.

Sweet to the nose, creamy to the palate with a dry finish.

Producer: Group Koch

Region: Oaxaca, Mexico

Pure Corn Whiskey

A limited release series of 962 bottles, the Hoochery’s Corn Whiskey uses a 100% Australian corn mash, making it especially unique and the first of its kind in Australia. It’s also entirely paddock to bottle, made using Ord Valley corn grown on the family farm behind the distillery.

This whiskey uses traditional fermentation methods, aged in heavily charred oak barrels for a minimum of two years, then filtered through locally grown and made mahogany charcoal. The result is a taste rich with creamy corn notes, cinnamon spices, and a sweet honey finish. Reminiscent of quality American bourbon, but expressive of Northern Australia and the East Kimberley region.

Thomson White Rye Whisky

Thomson Whisky is owned and run by Mathew & Rachael Thomson; an independent that remains 100% New Zealand owned and operated.

White whisky is essentially a raw, unfinished product on its way to becoming grown-up whisky. In the regular whisky production process, a fermented, grain-based mash is distilled to higher-proof and aged for varying periods of time in oak barrels. White whisky skips that last aging step and goes right to the bottle.

Thomson Whisky White Rye is made from New Zealand malted Rye and Barley, that is crushed, mashed, fermented, then double distilled through hand beaten copper pot stills. An unaged spirit which delivers fresh and clean.

Perfect when sipped neat but also excellent over ice or in classic and contemporary cocktails.

Akashi&nbsp;<div>White Oak Single Malt Whisky (Bourbon Cask)</div>

Akashi
White Oak Single Malt Whisky (Bourbon Cask)

View Details

One of the rare and extremely limited Akashi releases, having been matured for 5 years in a first fill bourbon barrel before being bottled at 50% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colour.

Akashi whiskey is made using sake-making methodologies into the whiskey-making process. The pot still used is smaller than those used by Scottish and other Japanese distilleries, which in turn, decreases the levels of fusel alcohol, reducing the length of its aging process.

Unfortunately, the exact number of bottles produced is not known, but it should not be more than 1000 wide. A rare and truly unique whiskey offering a palate of subtle peat and sweet vanilla notes.

Producer: Eigashima Distillery

Region:  Akashi (Hyogo), Japan

Alcohol: 50%
